I am now enjoying quite possibly the last can of Jolly Good soda that I might ever have in my life.

Ever since I was a kid, I have loved Jolly Good soda, it was the first ever soda that I was given when I was very little. Cherry and orange were my favorites. It was cheap (55 cents a can) and it tasted good. For many years of my life, my family had Jolly Good. Then my family and I had moved out of state. The soda was not available out of the state of wisconsin untill recently. For the longest time, I could not get a case unless I went over the border, and that was a several hour drive. Then the Roundy's company took over our state's local grocery store, and they started stocking my soda. What a happy day! Jolly Good was back in my life! Then for the last few months, I have not seen the soda around. I did not remark on it, because I have been limiting my sugar intake. I found out just this last christmas from my uncle that the company shut down last summer. I was bummed! So I drank up as much soda over the christmas season as I could. Right now I am down to my last cherry.

Now I can only say this...

Rest in Peace Jolly Good. I will miss your sweet taste.

{EDIT}

GO PACKERS!!!!!

I haven't tried Jolly Good soda, but based on this, I probably never will be able to. Have you tried Jones Soda? I like their creme soda flavor. They have cherry and orange cream. If you haven't tried it before, I suggest you do. If you have tried it before, I'm guessing it doesn't beat Jolly Good by a mile.

Anyway, I'm sorry for your loss, but life goes on. :)

I have tried them, and their stuff is really good. However, I perfer the old home soda. The company has been around for about 80 years. It is really sad.

Oh, so it's more about the sentimental value than the taste?

Hmm... perhaps Jones Soda had something to do with Jolly Good going out of business...

Both the taste and the cheapness of it too.
