I updated my blog WolfTavern with a new post, a new idea direction, and a new title (The Wolf Den). Please check it out and give me some feedback on the idea direction? I would gladly appreciate it.
This has been a tough year for Hollywood. Bea Arthur, Farrah Fawcett, Ed Mcmahon, and Michael Jackson (Ok, well he was of the music industry, but I digress).
Now Patrick. It was one of those things that you saw coming, but it still hits hard. I loved him in Roadhouse, Dirty Dancing and Ghost. (I can tell you now, since I saw that movie, that I never have been able to hear the song "Unchained Melody" the same way ever AGAIN! If you know what I mean... heheheheh). I have always loved his work. I will miss him.
"Born to amuse, To inspire, To delight. Here one day, gone one night. Gone too soon." -- 'Gone too Soon' by Michael Jackson.
The last couple of days we lost legends... Great legends in acting, comedy, and music. This is a very sad day for those of us who are fans.
Farrah, even though he height of her popularity was before I was born, she was still a great actress, and a brave woman fighting cancer. I knew of her work, and have seen a few episodes of Charlie's Angels. She was always a beautiful woman.
Ed, I can just imagine him up there in paradise yuckking it up with Johnny. I remember those two on the Tonight Show when I was very little. Ed and Johnny were a total laugh riot! I will never forget his great sense of modest humor. He really will be missed.
Michael, this is the one that really hits hard. I was born about the time that he was really getting popular. Off the Wall came out just after I was born. I am one of the MTV generation, and hearing Thriller on the radio. He set new standards for music videos. I still love the old beats of Billie Jean and rockin to the guitar of Beat It. Thriller the song is basically a halloween tradition. Bad was one of the early CDs that my family had purchased, and Man in the Mirror grabbed my heart. Dangerous came out and I enjoyed Heal the World. His stage persona was awesome, backing up vocals that were a gem with dance moves that were out of this world. Say what you will about his private life, but to me he was a great singer. I was a huge fan even when he was not so popular.. I have almost all of his albums from Off the Wall on. For everything he has done... good bye MJ. I will really miss you.
